Library of Thoth User Guide

Library of Thoth - libraryofthoth.org - is the Temple of Zeus's digital library, preserving the Temple's restored and reconstructed Ancient Knowledge. It holds hundreds of verified sermons and materials written by the Temple's Clergy, categorized for study and free for all to read, download, and keep. No account is needed. This guide walks through everything the site can do.

Note: The screenshots and interface shown in this guide may differ slightly from what you see, as the site is actively developed and may change with new features.

Getting around

Opening the site brings you to the home page. These controls help you get around the site:

• The emblem: The Library of Thoth name in the center returns you to the home page from anywhere on the site.
• Lightning-bolt button (upper left): Leads to the main Temple of Zeus website.
• Menu button (beside it): Opens the side menu: About (the Library's purpose and blessing), Contributors, and Contact.
• Telescope button (upper right): Opens Browse, the Library's full catalog.
• Home button: On inner pages, a round button floating in the lower-right corner returns you to the home page.

The home page

Below the top controls, the home page offers three ways in:

• The search box: Front and center. Enter a title, an author, a topic, or a keyword to search the whole Library at once, including sermons, articles, and other materials.
• Featured articles: The day's special selection. Each card shows the work's category (selecting it opens that category), its title, date, type, and author, plus quick buttons to open or read it directly.
• Explore all categories: The Library's eleven subjects, each with a See more link that opens the catalog already narrowed to that category.

The categories are:

• Ancient Ethics and Philosophy

• ToZ Community and Activism

The catalog (Browse)

Select the telescope button to open Browse all items, the complete catalog, newest first:

• The summary: At the top, the total number of items in the Library, counted by type: Sermons, Articles, and Materials.
• The entries: Each work lists its title, publication date, type, and author. The type and author are selectable. Selecting an author shows everything they have written; selecting a type narrows the list to sermons or materials.

The quick buttons on each entry

Every entry carries small round buttons on its right, so you can act without opening it first. The catalog shows all three; featured cards on the home page show only Open and the eye:

• Open (first button): Opens the work's own page, with its full details and actions.
• Chain link: Opens the work's original source, the thread on Ancient Forums where it was first published.
• Eye: Opens the document itself, to read immediately.

Customize: sorting and filtering

At the top right of the item list sits the Customize button, shown as two lines with circles on opposite sides. Selecting it opens the Customize panel ("Personalize your browsing experience"), where you can shape the catalog to exactly what you want to study:

• Sort by: The order of the list, for example by Date.
• Order by: Descending (newest first) or Ascending (oldest first).
• Group by: An optional grouping of the list.
• Type: Only Sermons or only Materials.
• Category: Any of the Library's eleven subjects.
• Year: The year of publication.
• Author: A particular member of the Clergy.
• First Letter: Titles beginning with a chosen letter.

1. Select the Customize button on the Browse page.
2. Set any sorting choices and select any filters. See more... under a filter reveals its full list of choices.
3. Select Apply to update the catalog.
4. To start fresh, open the panel again and select Reset. Every filter is cleared.

Filters combine freely. For example: Sermons + Meditation and Magick + 2026 + one author shows exactly that author's meditation sermons from that year.

Searching

1. Select the search box at the top of the home page.
2. Enter a title, an author's name, a topic, or a keyword.
3. Select a result to open it. Search covers the entire Library, including sermons, articles, and materials.

Reading an item

Selecting any work opens its own page. At the top, Back to Home returns you to the home page, and Copy copies a direct link to the item for sharing or bookmarking. Below them sit a preview of the document and its details at a glance: the type (Sermon, Article, or Material), the file size, the date published, the category, and the author, followed by its actions:

• Read: Opens the document to read on screen.
• Download: Saves the document as a PDF, to keep or print.
• Source: Opens the original thread on Ancient Forums where the work was first published, including its discussion.

Every work is preserved faithfully. What you read is the verified work exactly as published, categorized and kept safe for study now and for generations to come.

Terms you will encounter

• Sermon: A teaching written by a member of the Temple's Clergy or community.
• Article: A written piece of reference or study material.
• Material: Any other kind of resource, such as a program or schedule.
• Category: The subject a work belongs to, used to organize the Library.
• Author: The Clergy member or contributor who wrote the work.
• Source: The original Ancient Forums thread where the work was first published.
• Read vs. Download: Read opens the document on screen; Download saves a PDF copy to your device.

If something is not working, or you cannot find a work you are looking for, open a Vultus Help ticket and select Library of Thoth, so your request reaches the right team. You will receive a private link where you can follow your request through to resolution.
